Explorer II
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer II originated from Rolex's commitment to exploration. Designed to support explorers during their explorations of uncharted territories, these watches are equipped with the highest standard of strength and reliability. These two qualities were often the only certainty for explorers during extreme survival journeys.
To ensure that the watches function perfectly under extreme conditions, Rolex has tested the watches during Himalayan expeditions since 1930, even at temperatures of -50 degrees Celsius and 70% less oxygen than at sea level. Although these watches did not yet bear the name Explorer at the time, they form the basis for the design of these impressive watches.
