Rolex explorer

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer originated from the involvement of Rolex in voyages of discovery. These watches have helped explorers explore unexplored areas unexplored areas. Thanks to Rolex's many years of experience in the watch industry, Explorer watches are equipped with unmatched strength and reliability, which was often the only certainty for explorers during extreme survival trips.  

Rolex tested the watches during Himalayan expeditions from 1930 to ensure that they continued to function perfect , even at temperatures of -50 degrees Celsius and 70% less oxygen than at sea level. These watches did not yet bear the name Explorer, but have been the basis for the design of this model of watch.
