The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, introduced in 1963, was specially designed for professional race car drivers. With its chronograph functions and the tachymeter bezel, this watch makes it possible to measure lap times and speeds with utmost precision. The Daytona is a tribute to the legendary racing history of Daytona Beach and highlights the close connection between Rolex and motorsport.

This specific model, the Rolex Daytona 116520 from 2015, is made of Oystersteel and features a 40 mm case, a white dial, and an Oyster bracelet with folding clasp. The automatic movement offers an impressive power reserve of approximately 72 hours and is, as expected, a certified chronometer.

Additionally, this example features a so-called APH dial. This means there is a manufacturing defect in the dial, where a subtle space between “CHRONOGR” and “APH” is visible. Once Rolex discovered this deviation, it was immediately corrected in later productions. As a result, APH dials are extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors today.

This watch is unworn, with full factory stickers, and comes as a complete full set, including the original box and accompanying papers.
