The Rolex Datejust has been a true icon in watchmaking since its introduction in 1945. As the first automatic, waterproof chronometer with a date window at 3 o'clock, this model set a new standard, and to this day the Datejust symbolizes timeless design and reliability.

This special piece, originally delivered in the Netherlands in 1991, was newly purchased by the first owner at an official Rolex dealer. Upon request, an original engine turned bezel was installed immediately at purchase, causing the documentation to mention reference 16200, while the model actually corresponds to a Datejust 16220. At that time, it was possible to have such modifications done at the dealer, and this is neatly recorded on the original purchase receipt.

The set is fully complete with all original papers, which significantly increases the collector's value. The watch features a blue index dial, an elegant Jubilee bracelet and is in excellent condition. Recently, the movement was fully serviced by us.
