The Rolex Datejust, introduced in 1945 by Rolex, marked an important moment in watch history. It was the first automatic and waterproof wristwatch to automatically display the date in a window at the 3 o'clock position. This innovative feature formed the basis for the name Datejust.

This specific watch is a special and rare set. The movement is originally a Rolex Datejust reference 16200 and was purchased new at an official dealer in the Netherlands (purchase receipt available). At the request of the first owner, the original smooth bezel was replaced by an engine turned bezel, a configuration that was possible at the time but is no longer offered by Rolex today.

The watch has undergone a complete overhaul with us and is in excellent condition. Combined with the beautiful blue dial, this unique combination makes the watch an attractive collector's item.
