Cosmograph Daytona
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona, introduced in 1963, was specially designed for professional race drivers. This chronograph offers the ability to track race times and measure speeds thanks to the distinctive tachymetric bezel. The Daytona is a tribute to the historic location Daytona Beach (Florida), where the passion for speed and racing flourished in the 20th century. The name reflects the connection between Rolex and motorsport, which was further strengthened in 2013 when the brand became a global partner of Formula 1.
Moreover, the Daytona has become extremely popular thanks to the famous actor and race driver Paul Newman who wore and used this watch during his races.
