Rolex Air-King
The Rolex Air-King is a tribute to the British Royal Air Force. The Air-King is the watch for both enthusiasts and pilots around the world. This is thanks to the 40 mm case made of Oystersteel, the distinctive black dial, the Oyster bracelet, and the Oysterclasp closure.
The Rolex Air-King was developed as a tribute to pilots and their bravery during the Second World War. The first Air-King watch saw the light of day in 1945 and consisted of a combination of features from various aviation watches. All these features were combined into one watch.
The Rolex Air-King was originally part of a collection of aviation watches at the launch, namely the Air-Lion, Air-Tiger, and Air-Giant. However, the Air-King is the only one that has stood the test of time.
